Audio-Technica’s hanging microphone array is a cost-effective solution for conference rooms and meeting spaces of all sizes. With the ability to control the hypercardioid and cardioid directionality in 30-degree increments when used with a compatible mixer (such as Audio-Technica ATDM Series digital mixers), settings can be configured for full 360-degree coverage. The system uses a proprietary audio matrixing technique to capture every voice in the room. Meanwhile, the mixer-controlled tilt function allows for pick up angle manipulation along the vertical axis to accommodate different ceiling heights and the positions (sitting or standing) of users. The logic-controlled LED offers easy-to-understand indication of the mute status. Each system also includes accessories that provide safe, trouble-free installation for a wide variety of ceiling types.

When controlled by the ATDM-0604 Digital SmartMixer®, the four-capsule microphone array provides 360-degree coverage through virtual hypercardioid or cardioid outputs, which can be steered horizontally and tilted vertically. The intuitive graphic interface of the ATDM-0604 enables control of the width and orientation of each virtual polar pattern, which may be steered in 30-degree increments, with a tilt function accommodating differing ceiling heights and users who are sitting or standing.

The ES954 comes with a plenum-rated AT8554 Ceiling Mount with RJ45 connectors and push-type wire terminals for simple, secure installation. The included seismic cable secures the ceiling mount to a drop ceiling grid. The microphone array connects to the mixer over a pair of standard category cables with the two included RJ45 breakout cables enabling connection to the mixer’s mic inputs and LED control. The microphone’s permanently attached 1.2 m (4′) cable features a locking grommet for easy height adjustment, and its UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology offers outstanding rejection of radio frequency interference (RFI).

An integral, logic-controlled 360-degree red/green LED ring provides clear indication of call and system status. Need help connecting the ES954 to a third party mixer or DSP?
